Herkert Family Eye Care is Hiring an Optician Near Indianapolis, IN

Independent, family-friendly optometric practice looking for an enthusiastic, career-oriented, full-time Optician. We strive to set ourselves apart by concentrating on customer service, health and wellness, and quality eye care products. We are looking to add to our team as we expand our office space and patient base. We have a strong team that is empowered to help each other.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommends specific lenses, lens coatings and does frame selection to best suit patient’s lifestyle needs
  • Adjusts frames to fit properly and make repairs as needed
  • Performs appropriate measurements for eyeglasses; familiarity with Optikam is a plus
  • Provides instruction in eyeglass care and is able to troubleshoot patient issues
  • Performs administrative duties including tracking inventory sales, submitting patient insurance information, and merchandising
  • Promotes the practice reputation by taking ownership for optical sales and patient satisfaction.
  • Experience or certification preferred, but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $23.48 per hour
