Parts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Hire, motivate, mentor, and train the Part Department team
  • Develop and administer an aggressive profitable wholesale parts program to increase profit
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum inventory turns
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence, ensuring and following all factory returns programs
  • Partner with the Service Manager as needed

Parts Manager Qualifications:

  • 5 years of management experience in an automotive parts role or equivalent
  • Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds and/or ADP/CDK
  • High level of initiative and ability to work, train, and motivate a team
  • Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as commission, discounts, proportions, percentages, interest, etc.
  • Define, research, and resolve problems, thinking outside the box as needed
