Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our team as an In Home Caregiver. As an In Home Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to two special needs young men in our home, helping them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work as a team of two so one on one care is provided at all times. Primary hours are Monday - Friday 2 pm - 6 pm, with the option of working weekends. Weeks requiring additional hours over 40, will be paid at time and a half. Overtime hours will be mainly needed when parents are on respite trips and in the Summer months.

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, changing diapers and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support, while ensuring safety
- Help with meal preparation, feeding and medication
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, if needed
- Monitor and report changes in client's health or behavior

Requirements:

- Previous experience in caregiving or related field is a plus
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
