Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will provide counseling services to individuals dealing with various issues, including addiction, mental health, and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients to assess their needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapy using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and skills to manage their challenges
- Conduct group therapy sessions to facilitate peer support and learning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation of client sessions and progress
- Stay informed about current research and developments in the field of counseling
- Provide gender issues counseling and support for clients facing specific challenges related to gender identity

Experience:
- Previous experience in addiction counseling or related field is preferred
- Familiarity with coding systems for medical documentation is a plus
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies is beneficial
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly populations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a Counselor (ADC-T)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling or related field
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and interventions
- Understanding of addiction treatment modalities and recovery principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
