Heritage Title Services, Inc., part of the Shorewest Family of Companies, has an immediate opening for a Closing Agent.

This is a full-time position based in our Brookfield office, with travel to various closing locations throughout the week. Reliable transportation is a must!

You’ll be joining a highly-collaborative, energetic and friendly team of professionals who are enthusiastic about providing an excellent real estate closing experience to homebuyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys and realtors.

Responsibilities:
File preparation:

• Reviewing purchase contracts and title insurance commitments to determine payments necessary at closing
• Ordering and calculating payoffs, taxes and water bills and other items necessary to prepare accurate Closing Statements depicting the monetary terms of the contract
• Diligent communication with parties to the transaction by phone and email to prepare and explain the closing documents
• Review lender instructions and closing documents, and prepare lender’s Closing Disclosure
• Balance ledgers

Closing:

• Meet with buyers and sellers in person to execute closing documents, which includes travel to various realtor’s, lender’s and attorney’s offices
• Handle some remote online notarizations of closing documents
• Follow closing instructions precisely, and disburse funds accordingly

Qualifications:

• Strong communicator, both in-person and in writing
• Problem Solver, must be able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a notary or be qualified to become one upon start of employment
