Job Summary:
A central supply clerk issues supplies to specific staff or departments and ensure that vendors provide appropriate materials. They maintain a reference of purchasing procedures, current standards and regulations.
Processes departmental requisitions for all supplies and equipment used in the nursing department.
Stocks incoming supplies in all medical supply rooms and closets and checks all supplies for expiration dates.
Inventories and stocks the supply rooms on a daily basis.
Stocking nursing stations with the appropriate nursing supplies
Taking inventory inside the stock room, both nurses stations, and office
Placing nursing supplies orders for the whole facility
Unpacking all nursing orders that are placed
Stocking Central Supply office with proper supplies to fulfill the facility's needs
Keeping the Central Supply office as organized and neat as possible
