Heritage Environmental Services is Hiring a PeopleSoft Programmer/Analyst Near Indianapolis, IN

Primary Purpose

The PeopleSoft Programmer/Analyst provides technical and functional support to the accounting group for the PeopleSoft financials system. This position works as a member of the PeopleSoft technical support team (programmer/analyst, DBA, system administrator, consultant(s) to ensure the proper and efficient functioning of the system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Support, maintain, and extend the PeopleSoft financials application.
  • Design, build, test, and document customizations to the application.
  • Modify and create new reports and dashboards.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and apply PUM's.
  • Manage application security and workflow.
  • Provide tier 2 troubleshooting support to systems users.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs and integration with other systems.
  • Work with accounting team to identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and implement new processes and procedures.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant area required. (Science, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc. preferred).

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience with PeopleSoft Financials required. Programming experience with SQR, PeopleCode, Application Engine and SQL/Oracle required. Experience with the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Cost and Purchasing modules required. Experience with multicurrency processing, Project Costin, Purchasing modules, Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated technical skills to include systems analysis, design, and programming with tools appropriate to the application and technical environment. High level of self-awareness and ability to hold self-accountable for results and high standards. Exceptional customer service focus. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated creative thinking and problem solving. Ability to manage multiple projects and process improvement initiatives. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
