Heritage Center & Horizons Rehabilitation is Hiring a Memory Care Unit Director Near Evansville, IN

The Heritage Center at Holiday Health Care is recruiting a Memory Care Unit Director for Wellsprings, our all-female memory care unit. The Memory Care Unit Director is responsible for the oversight of the Activities, Social Service, Wellness, Volunteer Services, and Spiritual Care on the unit.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse, Activity Director, Social Worker, or Social Service Designee licensure required
  • Degree in healthcare, mental health, or social service profession or be a licensed health facility administrator is required
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with dementia or Alzheimer's residents is required
  • Two or more years of experience working with dementia care is preferred

Job Duties:

  • Directing, coordinating, and evaluating resident care and programming on the unit
  • Developing processes, policies, and procedures to consistently deploy and improve resident activities and wellness programs
  • Research new studies, trends, methods, and principles to design and implement innovative approaches to maximize resident wellness
  • Collaborate on hiring, training, and mentoring staff on the unit
  • Document and assume accountability of schedule, timecards, evaluations, and direction for direct reports
  • Ensure all personnel assigned to the unit complete required training and the care they are providing is consistent with training, regulatory standards, and Alzheimer's and dementia care best practices
