Job Title: Prep Cook / Runner / Dishwasher

Hours: 2 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday to Saturday

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as a Prep Cook, Runner, and Dishwasher in our lively bar and cafe. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will start your shift focusing on kitchen preparations and transition into supporting our kitchen staff by running food and managing dishwashing duties.

Responsibilities:

- Prep Cook (2 PM to approximately 5 PM):

- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and storing foodstuffs.

- Assist the kitchen staff in assembling dishes and setting up for service.

- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.

- Stock and organize supplies and ingredients as per the chef's instructions.

- Runner and Dishwasher (Approximately 5 PM to 8 PM):

- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the patrons with promptness and efficiency.

- Clear tables and ensure a smooth flow of service during peak hours.

- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.

- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and back areas to meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not necessary.

- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
