Somerfield Health Center at The Heritage at Brentwood is currently seeking an exempt, full-time RN/Nurse Manager for overall provision and supervision of resident-centered nursing care and services for our 5-star, 66-bed skilled nursing facility on the beautiful campus of The Heritage at Brentwood in TN. Job Responsibilities

• As a member of leadership team, assists in managing the operations and provision of quality nursing care and services for residents in the skilled nursing and assisted living.
• Supervises all licensed nurses, certified nurse aides, resident services staff, and private duty and agency staff.
• Assists treatment team in developing comprehensive care plans and documents accordingly.
• Administers medications as prescribed by physicians and documents accordingly
• Manages emergency situations, restorative and palliative care services, deaths, and admissions/discharges.
• Reports suspicions of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensures compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintains resident confidentiality at all times in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
• Performs other work duties and responsibilities as assigned by director and/or administrator.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Tennessee required
• Nursing supervisory experience required
• At least 6 months’ experience working in long-term care setting preferred
• Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with good understanding of restorative nursing preferred
• Able to provide emotional, physical, and psychological support to senior residents
• Ability to effective lead a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy
• Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions and attention to detail
