Here We Grow Early Learning Center is Hiring a Preschool Teacher (FT) Near Draper, UT

Here We Grow Early Learning Center is a childcare center that is owned and operated by JoAnne Albrecht in Draper, UT. We are open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm. Our core values are Compassion, Helpful, Integrity, Laughter, and Development. We are a tight-knit team supporting families in raising their children by providing high-quality care and education for each child in an environment that is nurturing, exciting, and fun!
If you are itching to tap into your inner child, consider joining our team of amazing preschool teachers! Our Preschool Teacher positions are full or part-time, and scheduled hours are only on weekdays. This position allows you to let your creativity shine, and collaborate with co-teachers to adapt your curriculum and set your students up for success!
Our Discovery Teacher Key Roles and Responsibilities include:
  • Plan and implement lesson plans and circle time
  • Manage and facilitate various activities for children, including songs, games, storytelling, meals, and play. 
  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities; adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children, and regularly assess and track children’s progress. 
  • Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom, and sanitize toys and equipment daily
  • Teach basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers and counting, and letter and sound recognition
  • Reward positive behavior and teach children how to share, express themselves, and communicate
  • Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences twice a year
  • Work with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere
  • Comply with all state rules and regulations
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Here We Grow
The ideal candidate meets the following requirement:
  • One (1) year of preschool experience.
  • Possesses a desire to make an impact in the lives of others.
  • Has a professional, positive attitude, is reliable and on time.
  • Ability to multitask and care for more than one child at a time.
  • Has a loving and nurturing demeanor with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and establish a positive, supportive atmosphere with management, children, parents, and staff.
  • Has, or is willing to acquire a Food Handler’s permit, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
  • Willing to attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Willing to complete local, state, and national professional training hours.
  • Successfully completes a Utah Background Check.
  • Meets the physical demands necessary, such as sitting on the floor and standing quickly, climbing or balancing, kneeling, crawling, crouching, lifting, and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
