HEPCO INC. is Hiring a Support specialist Near Newark, NJ

Our client, a leading energy efficiency program provider, is seeking a Business Support Specialist to join their team. As a Business Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting energy efficiency program delivery and ensuring smooth operations.

This role involves daily interactions with SAP systems, customer inquiries, and program implementation vendors to meet program goals effectively.

Job Summary :

This is a multi-level growth series position (Business Support Specialist, Grade Level 26 / Process Analyst, Grade Level 27) with placement dependent upon the skills and experience of the candidate.

The role supports energy efficiency program delivery, providing analytical and program implementation support, and contributes to workforce jobs initiatives, electric vehicle, and energy storage programs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Utilize SAP on a daily basis to review customer bill payment history.
  • Handle daily follow-up on customer inquiries regarding their Energy Efficiency program On Bill Repayment (OBR) obligations and OBR exception reviews.
  • Liaise with Residential program Implementation Contractor, customer care vendors, and program implementation team members to resolve OBR questions.
  • Generate a monthly OBR Repayment Report and reconcile OBR activity to SAP to OBR Billing uploads.

Job Responsibilities :

Business Support Specialist Level :

  • Provide program implementation and analytical support for energy efficiency programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure program offerings are delivered according to specifications and approved policies.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and analysis of operational reports.
  • Develop and maintain databases to support program operations.
  • Lead or support new program development and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare various management reports, internal audits, and presentations summarizing analyses and recommendations.
  • Play a leadership role in developing and implementing new procedures / process improvements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to process owners.
  • Drive efficiency and process improvement utilizing data analysis and understanding of business strategies.
  • Foster enhanced utilization of process measures and benchmarking.

Job Specific Qualifications :

Business Support Specialist (Day One Requirements) :

  • BS / BA degree
  • 1 years of relevant work experience : business / financial analysis experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and PC skills
  • Inclusivity and respect for diversity in the workplace

Business Support Specialist (Desired) :

  • Additional 1 ½ years’ relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of residential energy efficiency programs
  • Proficiency in Excel and database management
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills

Process Analyst (Required) :

  • 5 years relevant work experience including business / financial modeling
  • Experience in database management
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

Process Analyst (Desired) :

  • Knowledge of Business Warehouse, SAP, Access, Sharepoint
  • Experience in utility tariffs and accounting
  • Drive efficiency and process improvement through continuous improvement tools

Minimum Years of Experience : 1 year of experience

Education : Bachelor's degree
