Job Description
Hensons Mulch and More is seeking a heavy equipment operator for our Simpsonville, SC landscape material sales yard and wood-waste processing facility. Excavators, wheeled loaders and track loaders are utilized. Job duties include, but are not limited to monitoring and maintaining both incoming wood-waste material and outgoing, finished mulch and soil products, loading trucks with outbound materials, maintaining overall site appearance and cleanliness and performing routine weekly maintenance on equipment. Assistance with tasks related to our landscape materials sales yard may be required, such as loading customer vehicles, operating the delivery truck and also performing point of sale interactions.

With past concentrations in trucking, grading and construction, Hensons’ has evolved into becoming a leader in the wood-waste recycling industry since the late 1980’s. Hensons’ is now committed to recycling forestry byproducts and municipal green-waste into reusable mulch and soil products for use in the landscape and construction industry. Hensons’ operates five wood-waste processing facilities alongside seven landscape supply centers, all located within Western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina and the Charlotte- Metro area. Hensons’ also offers a mobile recycling service available to municipalities, site developers and contractors to assist with the disposal of accumulated forestry wood-waste.
Work Environment
Hensons’ landscape material sales yards/ wood-waste processing facilities consist of both a retail and construction jobsite setting. Homeowners and contractors using pick-up trucks, trailers and dump trucks will be picking up bulk landscape materials. Hensons’ also delivers these materials utilizing single-axle dump trucks and tractor trailers equipped with walking floor trailers. There will be various commercial trucks on site unloading unprocessed green-waste for processing. Hensons’ utilizes various heavy equipment to assist with the loading and processing of inbound and outbound materials, including various sized wheel loaders and excavators.
