Job Overview:

Henry’s Carpet and Interiors is a commercial flooring contractor established for 30 years is seeking to fill a position for a Junior Estimator/Project Manager with 3 years of experience to work at the Davie office.

The role is to assist in estimating and managing the entire flooring project from RFP to punch list under the supervision of the owner.

Seeking someone who has experience with the construction industry and who is highly organized, detail oriented, and a great communicator.

New Hire implements the design & management of RFPs within Division 9 of the construction industry. Communicates with external suppling vendors, general contractors and designers preinstallation.

Responsibilities

Estimating new projects and following up on submitted RFPs

Creating purchase orders and confirm all orders arrive in a time for the project in coordination with warehouse manager and on-site supervisors.

Do on-site visits to better understand the overall project and identify any potential risks and issues in order to relate to both the GCs, clients and HCI supervisors.

Coordinating all design matters relating to the projects with clients, helping to ensure that the multi-disciplinary teams building the project work together smoothly, and ensuring that timelines are met so that projects are delivered on time.

Qualifications

3 years of Experience in the Contruction Industry

Experience working with internet based construction take off systems such as Stack, ProCore, Building Connect or similar platform.

Reads and Interprets Construction/Architectural drawings with regard to Division 9 Flooring Finishes with a conceptual understanding of architectural units of measurements

Strong understanding of Construction terms and procedures, such as change orders, addendums, revision, and submittals.

Must be familiar with all building regulations and best practices related to the construction industry.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
