- Assists in designing, developing, executing, and clinical research protocols.
- Conducts laboratory research with devices such as force platforms, motion capture cameras, instrumented treadmills, electromyography, respirometry, and wearable technologies (e.g., inertial measurement units).
- Educates prospective participants about research protocol(s), validates eligibility to participate, and evaluates commitment. Serves as a resource for the subjects.
- Assists with the preparation of data for presentations at scientific meetings and/or publication in scientific journals.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
- Ideal candidates will have a PhD degree in an engineering discipline or closely related field. Research experience with prosthetic and orthotics devices, human movement, wearable technology, and/or modeling & simulation are highly desirable.
- Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
Qualifications:
- This position will take place primarily in a laboratory setting.
- Doctoral degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field)
- Minimum of 0-5 years experience required.
