RN 5T Cardiac Progressive Care Unit - Acuity Adaptable Unit - Jackson

GENERAL SUMMARY:

* Shift: 7p-730a

* Eligible for a Sign On Bonus

* Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

* Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

* Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.

* Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* BSN preferred.

* Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire

* Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.

* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

* Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

* Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

* Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum of 1 year RN experience

* Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)

* Experience with cardiac monitoring, titrating vasoactive drips, post-surgical care, post PCI care, and chest tubes

* Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence

* Participation in Professional Advancement Ladder (PAL)

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

* Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
