McLaren Health Care is Hiring a Radiation Therapist Near Detroit, MI
*Responsibilities:*
* Administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
* Maintains EMR and other documentation related to treatment simulation and delivery.
* Assists in simulation procedures, as ordered by the radiation oncologist, for the purpose of treatment planning.
* With supervision, fabricates treatment immobilization devices and treatment aids, as ordered by the radiation oncologist, for the purpose of treatment planning.
* Participates in imaging and alignment procedures for radiation treatment delivery, as directed by the radiation oncologist.
*Qualifications:*
_Required:_
* Associate degree in radiation therapy or in final clinical rotation of accredited radiation therapy program.
* Eligible for board certification in radiation therapy from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Obtains board certification within one year of employment as a radiation therapist.
* BLS certification as healthcare provider or obtains within 6 months of employment as a radiation therapist.
_Preferred: _
* Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy.
* Active member of the American Society of Radiation Therapists (ASRT)
