EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in genetics or statistical genetics; pharmacology; biology (particularly molecular, evolutionary, or computational biology); biostatistics; bioinformatics; data mining; biomedical/healthcare engineering, or a comparable degree/training is required with two (2) years of experience. OR Master's degree in genetics or statistical genetics; pharmacology; biology (particularly molecular, evolutionary, or computational biology); biostatistics; bioinformatics; data mining; biomedical/healthcare engineering, or a comparable degree/training is required. Experience working with statistical/bioinformatics software packages (e.g., R, Bioconductor, SAS), scientific programming skills (e.g., Python, C, Java, shell scripting), and knowledge in working in a Linux and/or command line environment is required. Cloud computing skills and experience preferred. Alternatively, having deep knowledge in working with, collecting data, and cleaning data in the previously mentioned bioinformatics data domains may substitute for the previously mentioned experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required so as to interact with research and clinical staff of various levels, as well as to assist in research grant applications, to present at scientific conferences, and to prepare and submit scientific manuscripts for publication.
