Operates wastewater treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plants to control flow and processing of sewage to maintain compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule is an overnight shift after initial training and will include weekends and some holidays. Salary range is $38,000 - $61,000 to start depending on licensure and experience.
Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. At least one-year relevant experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Georgia Driver's License. Must have a Class I, II, or III Wastewater Operator license from the State of Georgia or the ability to obtain a license within 18 months from date of hire.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
