Pharmacy Technician Certified or Non-certified

Assists the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties

Qualifications

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent

Secondary education is preferred but not required

Must be 18 years or older.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred but not required

Typing skills and/or computer entry skills are a required.

Good basic math skills are required.

Good organizational skills are required to accomplish routine duties.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATION:

Licensing with the State Board of Pharmacy required within 90 days of employment.
