Henry Community Health is Hiring an Ultrasound Tech Near Castle, IN

Responsibilities

  • Works under general supervision in performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures according todepartmental protocol as requested by the physician order.
  • Assists radiologists and physicians as requested.
  • Procedures include abdominal, retroperitoneal, OB/GYN, peripheral vascular doppler scans, other anatomical areasas required, and interventional procedures (i.e., cyst aspirations, biopsies).
  • Maintains established organization and department policies, procedures, objectives, QA, and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Work requires a complete understanding of axial anatomy, physiology, and physics of ultrasound, whichis normally acquired through completion of an approved program of Medical Radiologic Technology withadditional formal training in Ultrasonography.
  • Must be registered ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) OR ARRT (American Registry of Radiological Technologists)
  • Diagnostic Radiation Operator certification by the State of Indiana is preferred. 
  • Ultrasound certification is preferred.
  • One year's experience in Ultrasonography is acceptable in lieu of formal training.
  • In order to qualify for on-the-job training, 2 years hospital Staff Radiological Technologist experience is preferred.
