Henry Community Health is Hiring a RN - ICU Near Castle, IN

Overview

If you like caring for critically ill patients our Intensive Care Unit has opening for experienced nurses. Our nurses work as a team and treat each other and our patients like family. Adult hospitalists provide excellent 24/7 coverage and support to our nursing team. Henry Community Health has recieved the healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience award for the past 7 years (2015-2021). We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits and flexibility. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervises nursing personnel activities daily and participates in the delivery of general nursing duties.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing procedures and physician order.
  • Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of conditions and significant incidents.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations of patients. 
  • Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines patient progress.
  • Has daily responsibility in areas of personnel assignments, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel, patient placement, cost containment, patient and family education and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Work requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required 
  • Work requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
  • BLS certification
