If you like caring for critically ill patients our Intensive Care Unit has opening for experienced nurses. Our nurses work as a team and treat each other and our patients like family. Adult hospitalists provide excellent 24/7 coverage and support to our nursing team. Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing personnel activities daily and participates in the delivery of general nursing duties.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing procedures and physician order.
- Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of conditions and significant incidents.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations of patients.
- Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines patient progress.
- Has daily responsibility in areas of personnel assignments, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel, patient placement, cost containment, patient and family education and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Work requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required
- Work requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
- BLS certification
