General Statement of Duties Closing Date: This position closes on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Provides key paraprofessional support to Mental Health & Developmental Services. Primary responsibilities consist of credentialing agency providers with major insurance carriers. Duties routinely include performing a wide variety of specialized and/or complex day-to-day administrative and technical activities. Essential Duties Position responsible for credentialing and re-credentialing agency providers. Extensive knowledge of Medicaid (MES/PRSS), Medicare, the five Manage Care Organizations, private and commercial insurance credentialing processes; responsible for submitting and maintaining employee rosters manually and via insurance electronic portals; working knowledge of Cerner and Credible electronic health records; responsible for maintaining and updating provider information with CAQH, Availity, Better Doctors, LexisNexis, and others; performs a variety of day-to-day program and/or service-related support duties which may include managing providers records; tracking, monitoring and reporting utilization, services, deadlines, and compliance related data, etc., assisting with or handling mandatory documentation and complex or confidential records; resolving identified or reported problems; documenting and reporting data which may include assisting with or performing periodic audits, reporting findings and proposing viable remedies; collaborating with and coordinating work activities with other County staff and departments; serves as a primary or first-point of contact and works collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues relating to credentialing. Compiles and manages regulated, complex or confidential data; accurately creates and maintains detailed paper and electronic records and reports as required by Mental Health assigned program/services; Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school, college level coursework in a relevant field preferred; Three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience; OR: Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
