(H&M) service offerings include Consulting & Planning, Engineering & Design, Construction Management, EPC/Design Build, Program Management, and extensive Field Construction Services. H&M is utility construction firm providing critical infrastructure for the Power, Oil & Gas Pipeline, Gas Distribution, and Communications markets throughout North America. H&M is also a founding member of the ET&D Partnership, a collaborative industry partnership working to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in the construction industry is currently recruiting for a Quality Specialist in West Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Strong people skills in functioning within a fluid and dynamic organization, is essential: and will require working directly with regional program teams, proposal teams, and project teams in the planning and execution phases.
• Directly plans and disseminates QA/QC activities tailored to projects in the region.
• Provides guidance and training on company Quality procedures and templates.
• Teaches and demonstrates process reviews, Project Quality Plan QA audits, work site observations, and takes action.
• Introduces effective work practices with a balance of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Brings subject matter expertise in process improvement tools and techniques to construction teams and supporting functions.
• Leads and delivers sustainable worksite improvement with teams utilizing process mapping, problem-solving techniques, standard work, 5S workplace organization, simple/visual controls, brainstorming, etc.

Qualifications

• Track record of setting goals and leading change preferred.
• A high level of self-direction and motivation is required.
• Competency as a trainer preferred.
• Professional certification in Quality and Project Management preferred. Project management skills preferred
• Professional auditing credentials preferred.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project are required.
• Ability to travel moderately is required

Minimum Educational Background:

4-year Bachelor's degree (Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, etc.) or a related degree is required.

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:

5 years of relevant High Voltage-Power, Pipeline, and/or Gas work experience preferred.

Wage Range:

$70,000 - $120,000 annually
