Position Purpose:
Support and work closely with the test lab engineering team in the design and development of component test fixtures.
Essential Functions:
•Help support test lab operations.
•Provide design support for test fixtures development.
•Create CAD models, exploded views, and drawings.
•Update test fixture drawings as needed and maintain them in Teamcenter.
•Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
Physical Demands
•Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time.
•Occasional standing and walking.
•Occasional climbing stairs.
•Enjoying working “hands-on” in the test lab.
Environmental Conditions
•Exposure to office and manufacturing plant settings.
Behavioral Traits
•Ability to handle assignments and collaborate with team to complete tasks.
•Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in-writing.
•Detail oriented.
•Self-motivated with good organization and time management skills.
Education and Training
•Enrolled student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Strong academic foundation in statics and mechanics of material for use in componentsizing.
•Preferred GPA 3.0/4.0
Minimum Qualifications
•Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
•Strong PC Skills (spreadsheets, word processing).
•Experience with CAD software, Solidworks preferred.
