Forklift operator experience

Minimum Qualifications

·Certified to drive a forklift and other material handling equipment as needed.

·Good verbal and written communication skills.

·Basic math skills

·Ability to work well with others

·Basic computer skills

Physical Demands

·Ability to drive a forklift continuously for 8-12 hours

·Ability to work in tight places

·Ability to work outdoors for an extended period of time in extreme weather conditions

·Ability to lift up to 20 pounds repetitively

·Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

·Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively

·Ability to stand, crouch and climb, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor

·Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills

·Visual (with correction) sufficient to read work orders and packing slips. and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer

·Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations

Environmental Conditions

·Exposure to a noisy work environment

·Exposure to hot and humid conditions

·Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water

·Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas

·Steel toe boots with integrated metatarsal guards required in production area
