Hendrickson Careers is Hiring a Quality Engineer Near Clarksville, TN

AREA OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Responsible for the activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished assemblies or components.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Assist manufacturing in start-up of new processes (PPAP’s) as well as necessary PPAP’s associated with equipment moves, process changes, design changes, etc.

·Demonstrate understanding of AQP documentation, revisions, and necessarily follow up.

·Support and demonstrate understanding of the importance and significance of timely yet accurate updates for process changes.

·Demonstrate effective team skills through participation and facilitation in team activities.

·Perform effective IATF 16949 audits as a trained and experienced lead auditor. Conduct audits of the Quality Management System elements per established procedures and report audit results to quality management.

·Have primary responsibility for EP&T install, maintenance, implementation, training, and process planning. Leads and facilitates all EP&T processes and efforts for the plant.

·Support production operations to achieve safety, quality, and production KPI’s.

·Lead development of PFMEA’s, control plans, and test/inspection procedures to identify and eliminate risks associated with our products and processes.

·Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to drive product and process improvements that help achieve and improve internal and external customer satisfaction, reduce nonconformities and scrap, improve first pass yield.

·Facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigation and the development, implementation, and validation of effective corrective and preventive actions.

·Support capability analysis to investigate and drive improvements of production processes to meet defined requirements.

·Self-starter who seeks opportunities to improve processes, part quality, and overall efficiency. Identify trends and priorities by organizing, graphing/charting, and analyzing data.

QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

·Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or other related degree program required.

·Must have 3-5 years of quality experience.

·Desired AIAG or RAB certified lead auditor

·CQE preferred.

·Welding, fabricating, and/or machining experience preferred.

·Familiar with the use of gages (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

·Ability to understand MSA studies; process capability, perform studies, and conduct gage R & R studies.

·Familiar with use of SPC

·Effective communication skills

·Assertive, self-confident, and meticulous

·Strong teamwork skills

·Experience in training others.
