- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) is a plus
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required
