Job Summary: The Residential Roofing Laborer plays a vital role in supporting roofing and siding repairs by assisting with various tasks related to installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing and siding systems. Working under the supervision of the Roofing Foreman or Leader, the Residential Roofing Laborer performs manual labor, operates equipment, and ensures a safe and efficient work environment to contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, repair, or replacement of roofing and siding materials, including shingles, siding, soffit, fascia, and metal panels.
• Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment at job sites, ensuring they are safely stored and organized.
• Transport materials and supplies to work areas.
• Set up and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers as needed to facilitate roofing work.
• Clean and prepare work areas, removing debris, and ensuring surfaces are free of obstructions.
• Assist with measuring, cutting, and fitting materials to ensure proper installation.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment such as drills, saws, and nail guns under the supervision of experienced personnel.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition, performing basic maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities and ensure project requirements are met.
• Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, working efficiently to complete assigned tasks on time & within budget.
• Participate in training sessions and skill development programs to enhance job-related knowledge and proficiency.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction or roofing-related work is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power equipment, and construction techniques.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced roofing personnel.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Agility to navigate rooftops and uneven terrain safely.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 48 per week
