Henderson Companies is Hiring a Field Operations Director Near Lenexa, KS

Henderson Building Solutions is seeking a Field Operations Director to join their team in the Lenexa, KS office. The Field Operations Director develops and implements the strategic direction across all worksites and is responsible for providing management, training, and guidance for field superintendents across those sites. This includes partnering with HBS corporate leadership to ensure alignment of strategic plans along with accountability to safety, performance, and profit goals. They actively engage with clients to ensure and deliver on client and project expectations, monitor, and manage all aspects of field sites and seek out and facilitate business development opportunities.Minimum Qualifications for the Role are:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of construction or trade school required. Common examples include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction science, construction engineering, construction management, business, or related trade school. Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.15 years of relevant experience required in site management of construction activities required.OSHA certifications required.Proficient Microsoft Office skills, specifically within Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and ProCore.Estimating, field installation and installation supervision experience required.Advanced project management skills required. We would love for you to apply if you have.. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards relating to the facilities in which we work. Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description. Skills and Duties you will be Responsible for while in this role:Field Operations Management:Responsible for overall leadership and management of field superintendents and operations. Responsible for planning, identifying, and managing field leadership to achieve optimal project performance. Partners with vice presidents and other directors to ensure field operations are strategically aligned with business development, operational and safety goals. Leads the development and implementation of consistent field management tools and procedures. Mentors and assists field leaders in setting and managing project schedules, objectives, goals and deadlines.Engineering Design/Team Assistance: Advises and assists with layouts, detailed drawing modifications and schematics. Makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems and/or equipment and evaluates construction field productivity for their application. Advises on logistical aspects of project execution so that plans can be properly incorporated into the project documents. Assists in the assembly and distribution of equipment and construction bid packages. Advises on timeline and sequence of projects on site.Safety & Regulatory Compliance:Advises and assists Safety Manager, reinforcing safety as a priority on all projects. Ensures project compliance with HBS, client and industry established rules and regulations. Obtains required licenses/permits, confers with city or county inspectors, and ensures compliance of legal requirements, company regulations and building and safety codes.Cost Estimation: Responsible for establishing and managing logistical support services which create savings and efficiencies for project sites. Regularly reviews and reacts to actual vs. budgeted project field costs.Business Development:Engages and manages onsite client expectations. Ensures a client centric approach while preserving & enhancing the reputation and bottom line of the company. Engages in business development activities by promoting Henderson to existing and potential clients. Participates in client, company, and industry events. Grows personal network by building relationships with clients and industry professionals.
