Henderson Companies is Hiring a Commissioning Agent Near Phoenix, AZ

So what will you be doing all day? You would join us as a Commissioning Agent working on things like... Develops and maintains client relationships.Creates proposals for work based on RFPs or owner requests.Setups projects and folders.Coordinates scheduling of site visits with contractors and clients.Determines staffing requirements to complete projects.Manages project billing and budgets.Creates and/or reviews owner project requirements and basis of design documents, construction plans and specifications.Reviews drawings and maintains a record of comments.Generates checklists and tests for equipment.Leads and attends commissioning meetings.Makes site visits to complete pre-functional test checklists.Interacts with appropriate subcontractors.Generates site observation and issues reports.Reviews equipment submittals and maintains a record of comments.Creates custom functional performance test scripts for each piece of equipment to be commissioned using the approved submittal and design documents as a guide.Coordinates the review of these documents with the construction team prior to acceptance testing.Makes site visits to complete functional performance tests.Generates site observation and issues reports.Generates final reports.Makes presentations as needed.Identifies, secures, and/or manages relationships with outside organizations, potential clients and owners.Maintain high level of client satisfaction through project execution in order to gain repeat business.We'd love for you to apply for this position if you...Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of construction or engineering preferred. Common examples include MechanicalEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Engineering or Construction ManagementHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Commissioning certification(s) required (NEBB, BCxA, AABC, ASHRAE)Professional Engineering License preferredOHSA training preferredValid driver’s licenseBachelor's degree in relevant field and typically 8 years of professional experience in commissioning or testing/balancingrequired (12 years without degree)Additional automation, controls systems, HVAC systems, fire alarm/life safety systems and lighting controls experiencepreferredAbility to reliably and predictably carry out the functions of this jobStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to work with a high degree of independence without the need for oversight or mentoringAbility to multi-task and think criticallyTime management skillsAbility to understand drawings and specifications and how they translate into a buildingUnderstanding of mechanical and electrical systems for commercial, institutional and light industrial facilities as theyrelate to commissioningAdvanced knowledge of Automation and controls systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, fire alarm/life safety systems,lighting and lighting controls, and test and balanceHave an understanding of building energy codes, ASHRAE, ACG and LEED commissioning requirementsKnowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit and BluebeamAbility to read and understand BlueprintsSignificant travel required – approximately 50% of timeMust be flexible and able to travel with little noticeAbility to work varying shift times depending on the project, i.e. night or weekendsAbility to be on your feet all day and climb ladders
