Overview: In keeping with HCH policies and practices, responsible for the successful management and operation of HFMC medical practices, to include one or more specialty disciplines and/or clinic sites; provides medical and/or surgical specialists with available resources necessary to meet needs of patients and to meet the financial objectives of the practice and group. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for rural healthcare, have excellent time management, leadership, and customer service skills. This position is a full time role with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains strong positive communication with providers and works as a team to enhance the success of HFMC as a department of HCHD
Process referrals and prior authorizations efficiently
Demonstrate a sound understanding of rural health billing
Manage insurance eligibility processes effectivelyDevelops strong interdepartmental teamwork to meet the needs of the patients and providers and to drive decision-making and/or other actions Identifies and implements opportunities to build employee morale and individual motivation Responsible for profit and loss performance of the Clinic practice; participates as necessary in budget creation and expense management Analyzes staffing needs and works through HCH Director of Human Resources in keeping with established policy to staff front office and back-office positions, selecting dedicated healthcare professionals recruited; monitors, coaches/develops staff continually and evaluates staff work performance informally and formally in accordance with HCH employment/management policies Collaborates with HCH Human Resources to maintain compliance of department-level employee policy development and to communication with staff to ensure consistency of labor and employee relations with hospital-wide personnel policies and practices Works across organization to assist with areas of expertise (i.e., nursing, employee health, medical records, quality assurance); serves with other HCH department managers as a role model for all staff Plans, evaluates, recommends, and implements new initiatives when appropriate to the Clinic Responsible for assuring customer/patient service needs are met; monitors patient service feedback and contributes to the process of resolving complaints and service issues, and plans and initiates process improvements and cost reduction opportunities Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with vendors, employees, other managers, and physicians; supports a positive image of HCHD/HFMC inside and outside the organizationResponsible for all federal and state regulatory training and compliance pertaining to Clinic as a HCH department; coordinates cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of working environment Proactively identifies opportunities to expand revenue sources or ancillary services and reduce expenses
