Summary

The Warehouse Operations Material Handler consists of multiple workflows, but individuals assigned to this group can be assigned a role which works as an HSC Finishing Recycle/Service role or can be assigned to work mainly within the S-70 Warehouse location. Material Handlers will utilize fork trucks to assist with the handling of Finished Material, indirect material, MRO (Stock), or to help disposition packaging (Waste/Non-waste) material that is subject to transportation requests. This role can also have a job assignment that may require them to work at any off-site locations as directed.

Essential Functions

• The Material Handler will be responsible to endure that all training and certifications are completed on-time based on HSC University requirements and schedule. This also includes maintaining an up-to-date Fork Truck Operators Certification.
• This position is responsible for making sure work areas are cleanly kept (Housekeeping).
• This role can be responsible for ensuring that trucks or containers are loaded and unloaded in a safe and timely manner.
• The Material Handler will work with S-70 Shipping Personnel when needed.
• Responsible for the operation of equipment associated with the disposal of Finishing and/or Warehouse Operation Waste materials.
• Material Handler can be asked to transport any material needed for Finishing Operations.
• Communicate any Safety or equipment issues immediately upon being discovered.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities

• Receiving Material into S-70.
• Wrapping and strapping of material as needed.
• The Accurate Processing or material using AiDC or SAP functionality.
• Pulling/Staging/inspecting any material to fulfill customer order obligations safely and adhering to quality standards.
• Loading material into a trailer for either storage or transport to offsite locations, or into an Ocean Container satisfying customer order requirements.
• Understanding and executing blocking and bracing or material for transport when required.
• This position can help with removal of snow and ice when needed.
• The Material Handler will provide support with disposition of the site’s internal refuse dumpsters located in the Finishing and Warehouse Operations area.

Minimum Required Education/Certification

• Highschool Diploma

Minimum Required Work Experience

• 1 year manufacturing experience
• Warehouse and fork truck experience preferred.
