High level summary of job

As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and reliability. Your role encompasses managing Windows Server, VMware, Linux systems, managing backup solutions, and adhering to ITIL processes.

Essential functions of the job

• Design, build, Implement and maintain IT/OT infrastructure – server hardware, VMWare, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux and Azure
• Manage backup/recovery technology
• Perform capacity planning and infrastructure optimization to support the business
• Manage and monitor environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Executes ITIL processes to support the infrastructure
• Develop and maintains Infrastructure standards
• Provides oversight of vendors providing project delivery and operational support

Additional Duties/Responsibilities

• Project Leadership
• Lead projects to maintain infrastructure assets
• 7x24 on call support

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent, related experience

Work Experience

• 5 years working experience with Microsoft Windows, VMware
• 1 year experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (eg. Veeam, Acronis)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Familiarity with Service Management tools )eg. ServiceNow)
