We are a local cafe located inside of the Corpus Christi Athletic Club. We are looking for people who can fulfill the tasks while bringing ideas to this developing cafe. We are more than a business. We are part of the community and care very much about what we bring to the city and how we take care of each other. Baristas will learn from professionally trained baristas about coffee, health products, and sales. We strive to bring more than a product and be more than just a place to pass time.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently prepare a range of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, shakes, and smoothies.
• Able to memorize recipes over a period of time to provide efficient service.
• Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude during times of high traffic and unplanned situations.
• Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
• Provide the best customer service while helping customers in decision making.
• Able to educate customers about our products and their benefits.
• POS, cash handling, and security protocols.
• Maintains cleanliness and organized work environments that are standardized and simple for teamwork.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to adhere to schedule and notify in advance of any needs/changes.
• Able to work in a continuous standing position for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift more than 30lbs.
• Flexible schedule.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Available to remain flexible and communicate any concerns.
• Must be able to follow Hemisphere's policy and guidelines.
• Able to work alone and maintain a friendly and positive environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 6 months of food service experience preferred.
• Fast learner.
• Cash handling experience.
• Ability to memorize recipes accurately and follow any pass downs from the manager.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as a team when required.
• Ability to constantly develop toward personal goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
