Hemet Global Healthcare Center is Hiring a Wound Care Coord LVN- Sub Acute Near Hemet, CA

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, is responsible for assessing, analyzing, planning, and implementing resident care measures related to wound management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education

Possession of Associate Degree in Nursing or successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program as evidence by licensure, from a recognized college or university; or graduate of an accredited License Vocational Nursing Program.

Experience
Experience in an Acute Care or Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse, or LVN in the State of California.
BLS certification.
Wound Management training and current knowledge of wound and skin care management protocols preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Hospital established policies quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures and Nursing Practice Act of the State of California.
Medical instruments and equipment.
Medical terminology and hospital routine.
The uses and effects and appropriate documentation of medicine and narcotics.
Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing professional aspects of nursing.

Ability to:
Plan and organize wound care plans for residents.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, residents and fellow employees, and all internal and external customers.
Manage emergency or crisis situations; requires judgement/action, which could result in undesirable resident outcomes.
Keep abreast of developments in area of nursing specialization.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Manage emergency or crisis situations; requires judgment/action which could result in undesirable patient outcomes

Maintains, demonstrates and is assessed on the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for physical, psychosocial and cultural needs appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
