JOB ID 16295 - A lovely family in Logan Circle / U Street is seeking an occasional babysitter for their soon to be 1 year old to start as soon as possible. The child is easy going, enjoys music, and eats sleeps well. Backup care is needed intermittently when the child is home sick from daycare from 8am-6pm. The family is open to a provider who may only be available for 5-6 hours between the hours of 8am-6pm. The family can provide a 12-24 hour notice prior to when backup sick care is needed.

The family also needs backup care every 2 months for work trips which can fall on Sundays-Thursdays from 5pm-10pm. The family can provide at least a week’s notice prior to when backup care for work trips is needed. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family’s requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position (this is not a full time position). Mom and dad work from home most days. A great candidate will be caring, engaging, and reliable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bath time routines
• Diaper changing
• Feeding child; currently on solids milk (sippy/straw cups)
• Engaging with child in play/outdoor activities
• Light housekeeping related to child

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
• Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
