United Way of Greater St. Louis mobilizes the community with one goal in mind - helping people live their best possible lives. The Portfolio Manager, Targeted Fund and Responsive Grants, works within the Community Investment Division to implement and maintain impact investing strategies by developing, supporting, and leading a strategic portfolio of investments and partnerships throughout the St. Louis region.

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for the overall management of the targeted fund which includes the community response fund, one-time grants and additional one-time funding opportunities and the overall management of the emergency food and shelter program. Serves as liaison and key contact for an assigned portfolio, manages grant lifecycles and the accountability process, assesses and monitors partner agency performance, and manages the volunteer recruitment and training process. This role represents United Way at community meetings and aligns and integrates efforts with internal partners.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years experience in the nonprofit sector and a Masters degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field. Experience in grantmaking and collaborative work and the ability to effectively facilitate and convene common tables with relevant key stakeholders required. Subject matter expertise in financial stability, including knowledge of evidence-based practices, pertinent outcomes, and local stakeholders preferred.
