Helping Hand Family’s ST’s directly contribute to our mission of making autism services personal by creating customized ST plans as part of HHF’s Integrated Care Model. This team member will also build relationships with the clients and their local community to bring positive awareness to our business and the ASD community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide interpretation and results with the clinician's recommendations as they relate to a child's strengths and needs in the following areas:
    • Expressive and Receptive Language
    • Functional Communication Skills
    • Pragmatic Language Skills
    • Augmentative Communication Needs
    • Articulation of Speech
    • Feeding: as it relates to swallowing and oral musculature functioning
  • Review assessment report and recommendations with the client’s care team, including the child's family members, Clinical Director and BCBA.
    • Create and discuss goals with care team to determine areas of overlap and develop a plan for consistency and expectations for generalization.
    • Make recommendations for treatment including intensity, frequency, and duration of speech therapy sessions.
  • Provide treatment/direct skilled intervention for the client.
  • Provide proper and timely documentation, including but not limited to:
    • Daily session notes documenting gals and skills targeted, and interventions utilized during treatment sessions.
    • Quarterly progress reports documenting overall client progress toward goals.
    • Collect and maintain data as it pertains to the child’s specific ST goals and update the care team when changes are needed based on progress.
    • Complete re-evaluations annually (or more frequently if the payer requires) and update the plan of care and treatment recommendations as necessary based on the clients progress toward their goals.
    • Convert and document sessions as billed or cancelled within the Central Reach platform in a timely manner (within 24 hours of end of session).
  • This contractor role is paid based on billable hours only at a rate of $60 an hour.
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of our clients.
  • Master’s degree in Communication Sciences/Speech Language Pathology required.
  • Active state license in good standing
  • Experience providing ST within the pediatric population.
  • Adherence to the ASHA's code of ethics and will place the highest value on evidence-based interventions
  • Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills
