Help Foundation, Inc. is Hiring a Concession Stand Job Coach/Site Lead (Summer Program) Near Lakewood, OH

Description

This is a seasonal program that will be held from June 8, 2024 until September 2, 2024. Must be at least 17 years of age with a valid work permit or 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or GED.

Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Vocational Habilitation Director, the part-time Concession Stand Site Leader performs duties related to the Lakewood Park concession stand daily operation. Position requires an individual to have customer service skills, positive attitude, and food preparation, delivering work readiness skill training to trainees with developmental disabilities, responsible for accurate accounting and all transactions and assist with location inventory controls. Prior food service, customer service, experience in the field of developmental disabilities and staff management. This is a temporary position from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Follow Help Foundation rules and regulations
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Create and maintain a weekly staffing schedule, fill open shifts as needed
  • Basic working knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Basic food preparation.
  • Ability to provide direction to staff and model professional positive work ethic for trainees
  • Document services provided to the trainees.
  • Positive attitude and neat appearance.
  • Must speak and understand English.
  • Immediately report ALL incidents or accidents to supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the costumers at all times
  • Assist with and or complete daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and other assigned duties
  • Exhibit acceptable work standards and immediately correct actions that do not meet Agency standards.
  • Come to work on time, in the proper attire prepared to work
  • Has a sincere desire to work alongside of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Adjust work hours as required for effective operation of the concession
  • All other related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must beat least 17 years of age with a valid work permit or 18 years of age or older with a HS Diploma or GED
  • This position requires stooping and lifting, substantial standing and walking.
  • Basic level of computer proficiency as well as good basic reading and math skills.
  • Excellent communication, money handling and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to accept and provide direction and instruction in a professional manner.
  • Successfully pass a background check that includes a BCI and FBI criminal history check.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with less than 6 points
