Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Regional Sales Manager or Sales Director, the Sales Specialist is responsible for working with existing and prospective customers to provide sales support combined with account and specific product set knowledge ownership. Emphasis will be placed on processes and systems to enable effective and efficient sales and customer support. Based in office or remotely the individual will collaborate with field-based sales team to grow sales and customer satisfaction. Essential FunctionsBuild and maintain customer relationships to leverage time of field-based Area Sales Managers (ASM)Partners with the Area Sales Manager and sales management to increase sales by supporting the outside staff for a specific region or account baseRespond to all internal & external communications within four business hoursProperly route customer inquiries to correct outside sales resourceRespond to questions on pricing and availabilityHandle inbound corp sales leads and follow up accordinglyMonitors order fulfillment and communicates order status to customers and sales as requiredProvides customers with accurate and delivery information based on information available in JDEParticipates or leads in complex product cross-referencing and quoting on behalf of outside salesLeads in collecting and maintaining customer sales, opportunity data, and strategic planning and reviewsSpecific assigned account responsible for maintenance, service, projects, and revenue growthBecome a product expert in at least 1 categorySupports or leads sales and marketing promotional activities and projectsOpportunity to potentially participate in outside sales activity periodically throughout the year QualificationsBachelor's degree is preferred, however, In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered.2-4 years work experience in a related role and industry or equivalentCustomer-first mentality and focus.Organized with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.Ability to work well under pressure in a team atmosphere.Ability to prioritize work from several customers, sales managers, or executive individuals.Microsoft Office suite of software, ERP, and CRM Systems#LI-DM3 #LI-Hybrid
