Hellas, Inc. is Hiring a Civil Estimator Near Cedar, TX
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Construction document review, performing accurate takeoff for civil construction related quantities
- Submitting requests for information to clarify existing conditions and proposed improvement, submission to responsible design professional in a timely manner
- Developing materials and subcontractor resources and relationships in all market area
- Building estimating; quantity takeoff, solicitation and scope review
- Analyzing and evaluating existing historical cost data to determine pricing
- Providing value engineering options to optimize successful contract award opportunities
- Preparing and soliciting bid requests for subcontractors
- Reviewing quotes for scope compliance and buyout opportunities
- Performing site visits on future bids to determine existing conditions and proposed scope of work
- Attending pre-construction meetings to gather all pertinent data
- Project phase and resource scheduling
- Prepare thorough documentation files for hand off to operations department for implementation of projects
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Prefer 5 years’ experience in Civil Construction Estimating to include concrete, asphalt, aggregates, fencing, electrical, landscaping, irrigation, liner and pipe etc.
- Storm water and sewer utilities highly preferred
- Must be able to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
