Hellas Construction, Inc., The #1 Sports Construction company in North America, is seeking a full-time Digger Operator to join our Sports Construction Company to support our Sports Lighting Division based out of Seguin, TX. The Digger Operator is responsible for safely operating the digger derrick used to lift and stabilize lighting poles during installation.

Job Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a variety of heavy equipment i.e. digger derrick, bucket trucks, wire pulling equipment.
• Maintain knowledge for use of auxiliary equipment to prepare, locate, install, schedule, set and remove poles.
• Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and performing basic repair and maintenance as needed to ensure the safe working condition of all equipment.
• Read and understand various types of load charts.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• Position will require up to 100% travel
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of safe load securing practices/rigging experience is a plus.
• Understanding of hand signals.
• NCCCO certification is a plus.
• CDL A license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
