Helix Resources is Hiring a Forklift Operator Near Hammond, LA
We are now accepting resume/applications for an EXPERIENCED Forklift Operator for the Laplace, LA & surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:
- Job Scope:
- Responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.
- MUST have with stand up and sit down forklifts
- Requirements for Position:
- MUST have current forklift certification
- MUST be able to pass background check & drug screen
- Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with others
- Self-motivation
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Maintain equipment in safe and good working condition.
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed..
- Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Mange house keeping activities when requested.
- Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
- Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
- Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Good stamina & physical health
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions (heat, cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions)
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
- Documents Required:
- Driver's License/Identification
- Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
- MUST be able to provide PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, & gloves)
- MUST have reliable transportation.
- Pay:
- $17.00/Hour
- Weekly Pay
- Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
- Schedule:
- Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
- 530 AM - Until Completion
- Must be flexible
- Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
- Duration of Job: Temp to Hire
