The Accounting Manager is a newly created position and will be responsible for enhancing the month-end close process to support Helios Operating Companies. This role will report directly to the VP of Finance. We are seeking a dedicated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a consistent on-site presence (Monday-Friday) in our Maitland, Florida office.

WHAT HELIOS NEEDS FROM YOU:

• Perform the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and continuously improve processes to scale with the organization
• Oversee expense tracking as well as the procure-to-pay process
• Manage general ledger and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Provide support and analysis in the preparation of management presentations
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations as well as the close process
• Recommend and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures
• Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration both inside and outside of the finance and accounting teams
• Assist with the AR and AP staff

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• 5 years of work experience in the accounting field
• Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable department
• Experience in people management
• Audit experience and working with private equity-backed companies is a plus

Helios' compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $120,000 annually in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
