We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to be part of our growing team. This role will sit on the Finance and Business Operations team and will partner closely with the broader organization (Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Product). The Analyst will play a key role in company-wide budgeting and forecasting, management / KPI reporting and analysis, Board reporting and ad-hoc strategic projects. This position will require occasional work from Bethesda, MD (or Chapel Hill, NC / Philadelphia, PA if local to those geographies). Remote candidates will be considered if located on the East coast within 2 hours travel distance from a HelioCampus office. 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual budget and monthly forecast process, including the production of presentation schedules and financial models for distribution to senior management and the Board
• Maintain, modify, enhance and streamline/automate existing financial models while ensuring data integrity
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly financial reporting and analysis including actuals, budgets, forecasts and assist with short/long term planning, cash flow and resource planning
• Update / maintain real-time Management reporting dashboards (Operating KPIs) and participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews
• Collaborate cross-functionally within HelioCampus with departmental managers and ensure on-going communication and dialogue with key stakeholders across entire organization
• Support ad-hoc projects and tasks, data gathering, and various business projects using tools to improve processes and increase productivity, automating whenever possible
• Partner with Accounting on vendor spend management
• Work closely with the accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, monthly general ledger closing and account reconciliation to drive improvements in reporting accuracy, timeliness, and insightfulness

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of FP&A, Finance/Accounting, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting experience in an analytical role
• Advanced Microsoft Excel with an understanding of model architecture and formula efficiency, and comfortable analyzing large data sets
• Strong understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Self-starter who is proactive, intellectually curious, and not afraid to seek out projects independently
• Experience forming relationships across all levels of an organization and comfortable presenting to a broad range of audiences
• Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects and have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead internal projects
• Excellent attention to detail
• BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Sciences, or equivalent 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of software and recurring revenue business models
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau to manipulate, analyze, and present financial and operational data
• Experience with a range of finance/operations tools, such as Financial ERP (particularly Sage Intacct), Professional Services Automation, Time Tracking, etc.
