Position Overview

In this role, you’ll assist with the production of aggregates by managing all aspects of the daily operation of our crushing plant. Wage:
Starting at $24 /hr DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Maintain crusher plant operations to ensure timely production.
  • Monitor gauges, dials and operation of machinery.
  • Perform safety inspections and run routine staff safety meetings.
  • Coordinate production and loading of aggregate.
  • Communicate and receive directions from team members.
  • Direct general operations of loader operator, truck driver, laborer, and plant repair.
  • Assist other departments as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minium Qualifications

  • Must be able to positively lead, manage and influence a team of individuals.
  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical skills including knowledge of machines, tools, equipment, mechanic’s hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, lubricating tools, hoists, cranes, service trucks, electrical testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Previous crushing and/or maintenance experience.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Primarily work 10-16 hours per day 5-7 days per week during the peak season, occasional night work.
  • May require traveling for periods of time to perform job duties at various job site locations.

  • The employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, squat, crouch or climb. And reach with arms above shoulder height or below knee height.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
