- Teach district approved curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional material.
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- This recruitment may also be used to fill additional positions per business needs.
- This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Helena School District and Helena Education Association.

At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, you will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena. These positions will be on a temporary contract from March to June, scheduled for 7 hours a day. Starting salary range is prorated from $41,615 - $65,763 based on education and experience in addition to a competitive benefit plan. To become part of this dedicated team, you have a Montana teaching certificate with elementary endorsement area.
The ideal candidate will possess at least a year of successful teaching experience in an adaptive physical education environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally relocate items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
