Heidelberg Materials is Hiring a Terminal Attendant Near Beaumont, TX
- Participate in company health and safety program and adhere to all policies and procedures
- Load bulk cement tanker trucks
- Offload cement barges
- Maintenance of all terminal fixtures and assets
- Treat all drivers, customers, coworkers, contractors, and visitors with dignity and respect
- Completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Effective communications and ability to work as a productive team member
- Fundamental record keeping and computer skills required
- Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
- Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision and be a team player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capable of learning through on-the-job training
- Good attendance and punctuality a must.
- Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
- Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required.
- Valid forklift operators ticket preferred
- Preference will be given to applicants with a mechanical background
- $34.55 - $34.55 / hour
- Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension.
- Union paid vacation 40 hours (5 days) per year and paid sick 40 hours per year.
- Union paid holidays seven
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
