Heidelberg Materials is Hiring a Senior Accountant (Hybrid) Near Beaumont, TX
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual Close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries, in accordance with the company's direction and regional reporting requirements
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations. Maintain supporting schedules. Reconcile discrepancies
- Assistance with lease accounting, internal controls and other reporting tasks
- Perform special projects and analysis as directed, including purchase price allocation for acquisitions, ESG reporting and Government Grants
- Assist team with the annual external audit
- Assist in the development and implementation of process initiatives related to month end close, financial reporting, and business operations
- Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively with various departments throughout the organization
- A proven track record in managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment and engagement through high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company, demonstrated drive and initiative
- Performance and result management
- Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability
- Ability to analyze business conditions and build partnerships across functions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities

- Understanding of financial statements and accounting relationships
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Public accounting experience is preferred
- Experience and knowledge with IFRS is a plus
- Experience with SAP and Essbase is a plus
